From the Leather Fair in India to a Successful Order – My Journey
Earlier this year, I traveled to India to attend the International Leather Fair, aiming to meet potential partners in the leather processing industry. Our company specializes in manufacturing leather band knife blades and splitting machine blades for professional leather cutting applications. India’s thriving leather market made it the perfect place to showcase our industrial cutting solutions.
On the second day of the exhibition, I met a local manufacturer who produced premium leather belts and handbags. He was looking for reliable, high-precision blades for his leather splitting and skiving machines, as his current suppliers often failed to meet durability and sharpness requirements. I introduced our precision-ground leather band knife blades, highlighting their high-grade alloy steel, uniform hardness, and fine edge finishing, which ensure clean, smooth cuts and longer service life.
To build his confidence, I presented cutting samples and detailed technical data sheets at our booth. He was impressed by the blade’s consistency, cutting quality, and the fact that we could provide custom sizes, edge profiles, and tooth types to perfectly match his machines.
After a productive discussion and a live demonstration, the customer placed his first bulk order directly during the exhibition. Today, we supply him regularly, helping his factory improve production efficiency, reduce blade changes, and minimize material waste.
Attending the leather fair in India was more than just a trade show for me — it was a chance to connect face-to-face, understand real production challenges, and deliver industrial cutting solutions that truly make a difference.
